Why do I need a hardware wallet?
Because your private keys stay offline. If an exchange collapses or your computer gets infected, your funds remain protected inside the chip.
What makes Tangem different from other cold wallets?
It’s a card, works over NFC with no batteries or cables, needs no seed phrase, and its chip is EAL6+ certified.
What’s the difference between the 2- and 3-card packs?
Both hold the same wallet. With 3 cards you get two backups — keep one at home and another somewhere else.
Will it work if Tangem stops existing?
Yes. The app is open source, and you can export your wallet to other compatible apps if you created a seed phrase.
If my card is stolen, can someone access my funds?
Not without your access code. After several failed attempts the card adds delays that make brute force impractical.
Can I use a recovery phrase?
Yes. It’s optional: you can generate one or import an existing one during activation.
Do I lose my funds if I lose my phone?
No. Your keys are on the cards, not the phone. Install the app on another phone and tap your card.
